The other day, to help me figure out the elements of a great romance for a novel I'm plotting, I was on a quest to find some romance novels at the library. I do love a good romance, but a good one is hard to find.
The last romance I thoroughly enjoyed was Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asians trilogy, despite some (hilariously) bad language and the usual postmodern sexual ethics. Aha, a man, you say. Very true. Funny enough, the three romances I ended up borrowing from the library a couple of weeks ago all happen to be written by men as well. This is the order I read them in.

In order to slow down my frenetic book-eating, I'm writing reviews of the books I read to better digest them. Bon appétit!
